Attached to the e-mail PM Submission - Paul Roberts - 132008.176.05.
7th August 2023 Unit 4/25 Coral Tree Avenue Noosa Heads QLD 4567 To the Assessment Manager Dear Sir/Madam We are writing to submit that we oppose the proposed development Application Reference : 132008.176.05 in Serenity Close and with this the consideration that is being given to the re-opening of Banksia Street which in turn will add disruption , disturbance and congestion to local streets including Jan st and Coral Tree Avenue. Banksia Street had been closed off by previous council for a very good reason. The corner of Coral Tree and Jan Street is one of the most dangerous corners in Noosa Junction. It has been the scene of previous accidents and even with the increased traffic from more recent times due to more residents in the area and recent builds presents difficulties as it stands now. To increase the traffic flow would be life threatening for some drivers. We as long time residents of Noosa for 47yrs have grave concerns in adding more accommodation for short term stays with the hotel being allowed to go ahead as it will increase cars to the area which will be extremely concerning for all. During many times we have taken 10 to 15 mins to get on to the roundabout at the end of Coral Tree as cars line up through it right back to the RACV Resort. We feel rather than increasing more traffic to enter on to the road via Jan Street and Coral Tree council should be looking at some other option if they allow the Hotel to go ahead. For all the residents safety in our area please do not allow the re-opening of Banksia. Kind Regards Paul Roberts and Gerry Roberts 0409278879 and 0418730768 Ct
