                 RE: Reserve for Land Ground for Aircraft - Noosa North Shore — Lot 7 on MCH4562

                 The department has received advice from the Department of Environment & Science (DES) of
                 their desire to acquire Lot 7 on MCH4562 for inclusion into the surrounding National Park at
                 Noosa North Shore.

                 Lot 7 on MCH4562 was set aside as a reserve for Landing Ground for Aircraft in 1948 with
                 Noosa Shire Council as the trustee. Until recently, Council had approved trustee leases/permits
                 to the Noosa Model Flyers Inc and the Sunshine Coast Sports Aviators Inc. It is noted that these
                 tenures have expired.

                 To progress the transitioning of the land to National Park, the department is seeking your written
                 confirmation that Council is prepared to relinquish trusteeship of the reserve to allow DES to be
                 appointed as the new trustee. DES will then consult with the community and the community
                 groups on future uses which ensures protection of the long term values and needs of the area.
