This information is likely to be useful in informing land use decisions for the next planning
scheme and until this review is undertaken any further breach action against existing
unlawful businesses established prior to the survey should be put on hold. However, the
industrial area should be regularly monitored to ensure that further businesses (not industrial
in nature) do not establish in the area in breach of The Noosa Plan.

The establishment of retail, commercial office type business in the Noosaville industrial area
has the potential to reduce the availability of industrial land for industrial uses and detract
from the role of the business centres over time.
