A temporary event permit fee is not chargeable to the applicant as it is a not-for-profit entity.

Risks & Opportunities
Risks
    The risk of event based COVID-19 transmission is not entirely eliminated.
    Financial and reputational risk for Council, the Noosa Chamber of Commerce, local
      businesses and tourism if a COVID-19 outbreak prompts lockdown measures.
    There is still no available insurance coverage for COVID-19. Council’s defence of any legal
      claims will be funded by the ratepayer.

Opportunities
  Allows a smaller style event to proceed.
  The decision sends a signal to event organisers that Council is willing to support event
    organisers who adapt to low risk event management.
  Well managed events adhering to COVID Safe event practices and criteria noted above
    present less risk to the community than larger style events.
