9.1.4 Service Area 3: Southern Expansion
The new southern expansion service area is accessible via the Hofmann Drive extension. It has adequate
space for up to seven separate 19m articulated vehicles (AV) in addition to three refuse collection vehicles
(RCV). Swept path analysis of an AV is portrayed in drawing number J13041_SK-08 attached in Appendix
C. Due to the high angle of the driveway upon exit, the service vehicle is required to perform a loop within
the service area before entering the roadway of Hofmann Drive with safe passage within the upstream lane.

9.1.5 Service Area 4: Eastern Expansion
The eastern expansion service area is accessible via Central Road. It has adequate space for three
separate 12.5m large rigid vehicles (LRV) to manoeuvre both in and out of the service bay following an
amendment to the kerb line of Central Road. Swept path analysis of an LRV, including the amendment to
the kerb line is illustrated in drawing number J13041_SK-09 attached in Appendix C. Swept path analysis of
an RCV and an MRV are also respectively provided in drawing numbers J13041_SK-10 and J13041_SK-11
attached in Appendix C.
