5.       The Request From Business Mentoring Noosa
Business Mentoring Noosa has requested funding support from Council to continue to provide
the mentoring service to the local business community. At this time, Council has not yet
established an economic development grant program but expects to have a program in place by
August 2016.
Council can assist Business Mentoring Noosa in the short term in a number of ways:
  One off direct funding in the amount of $5,000 to assist them in continuing the service for
    the remainder of 2016;
  Assistance identifying additional funding opportunities such the Industry Skills Fund or the
    Gambling Community Benefit Fund (for equipment);
  Other assistance (including information, communication and resource sharing) consistent
    with Councils enabling role as identified in the Local Economic Plan.
