7.0 LEGISLATION AND OVERLAYS

7.1 Local Government – Noosa Plan

7.1.1 Biodiversity Overlay Code
The Mary River Catchment Biodiversity Overlay Map (Map OM5.1) (refer Plate 6) of the Noosa Plan
maps the majority of the vegetation within the site as an Environmental Enhancement Area.

Development is proposed within the mapped Environmental Enhancement Areas on the site hence
the application triggers assessment against Noosa Plan Biodiversity Overlay Code. Table 1
describes the proposal’s potential compliance with each of the Specific Outcomes and associated
Probable Outcomes of the code. Overall the proposed development has been determined to be
compliant with the Biodiversity Code.
