GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 24 OCTOBER 2022
Weekly inspections and maintenance on Black Mountain Road, Andersons Road and Middle Creek
Road are being managed within the Civil Operations budget.
Risks & Opportunities
Opportunities
Noosa has developed a program of works quite rapidly thanks to the services of local project
management engineers, geotechnical engineers and surveyors. Additionally, bringing forward the
re-sheeting of Middle Creek Road, which is funded through a pre-existing Federal Government
grant, will reduce the increased maintenance costs due to increased road usage as a result of the
Black Mountain Road Landslide.
Risks
The current program does not forecast any direct financial risks to Council with staff continuing to
manage/mitigate risks to the program of work such as:
• Further forecasted weather impacts in January
• Supply chain issues for material
• Labour shortages internally and within the industry and suppliers.
