MCU12/0184 Dear Jack, I am writing to you to voice my shock and dismay at the application above. I only found out about this yesterday and would have voiced my very STRONG OBJECTION earlier if I had known. My reasons are as follows… 1. Trucks thundering past my home will cause my entire peaceful lifestyle to be threatened. I moved here for the peace and tranquility of the area. That will be totally destroyed. 2. Cooroy Belli Creek Road will simply not be able to handle the weight of these trucks - Who will be responsible for the repair of these roads when they are inevitably damaged? 3. This road is on a school route and will endanger the lives of children - we have already had a fatality on this dangerous windy road within the last couple of months. 4. There are many concealed driveways along this road, endangering the lives of residents. The police have already cited the fact that cars cross the lines in this area. I myself have had some near misses. 5. The pollution this 'business" will create to the waterways and the surrounding area. This will be an environmental disaster on so many fronts. 6. The general noise pollution and also the dreadful smell will spread over kilometres. 7. If the trucks enter busy Cooroy what will be the route - past the school? The Hospital? A quiet residential street? This is simply not acceptable. 8. The value of our homes all along the route will be compromised. Selling our homes will be almost impossible! 9. The abject cruelty involving these birds. Please look into how they suffer, and any compassionate, intelligent person can see this is not acceptable in this day and age. On a personal note, I have been dealing with breast cancer for the last 18 months and this already, has started to affect my healing process. I cannot tolerate the thought of what is going to happen to our lovely neighbourhood should this application be approved. Please, please consider the awful affect this would have on our ratepayers in so many different ways, should this application be approved. Regards, Faith Wild
