MCU14/0028 PM Submission Object - Mark Pagett
Subject: : MCU14/0028 From: Mark Pagett Date: 2014-06-11T00:55:16+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail Good Morning Just sending a email with my non approval thoughts on the above application, as a local land owner. We all know free range chicken farms are not as the name suggests and there are caged just the cage is bigger, also the area has a wild dog and fox problem also. Because of the hills at Cooroy the run off of manure will not be able to be contained, application is for a very hilly/steep area. I believe the farm should be set up on flatter ground where everything can be contained properly in a full rural area not semi rural area of family homes. Obviously large trucks need to bring chickens and feed , manure removal to this area, this bring with it noise, chickens are picked up late at night or very early morning for processing and the roads are not the most practical to large trucks. Main points I would like to mention. Wrong type of country to have chicken sheds steep/hilly. Semi Rural family homes and estates close by. Noise, smell Large trucks at all hours Manure leakage into creeks running through all properties in area.
