INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING REPORT 10 NOVEMBER 2015
5. FUTURE DIRECTION
Continue to progress with the roll out of new NCS branding.
Review client fees and charges in line with recently published Commonwealth Home
Support Client Contribution Framework.
Proceed with the construction of a client workshop, pending approval of the BR2 capital
works submission. The proposed workshop would operate in a similar manner to the
current successful Horticultural Therapy program and would add an additional activity
choice for those who struggle to engage with more typical indoor respite centre activities
and will ensure maximum opportunities for client engagement.
Obtain quotes for the rendering of the Centre façade and repainting of the original
timberwork. This work will complete the update of the Centre.
Amalgamate the HASlink database from Home Assist to Community Support’s TRACCS
database to ensure quality improvement and minimise duplication within NCS systems.
Funding for over 65 clients via the federal government’s Commonwealth Home Support
Programme will commence on 1 November. This funding will extend through to 30 June
2018 and will allow NCS to continue the provision of current services.
NCS will have a brief shutdown over the Christmas and New Year period. The last day of
normal operation will be Thursday 24 December, with a reopening date of Monday 4
January.
