INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING REPORT 10 NOVEMBER 2015

4. Systems & Processes

Museums & Galleries Queensland (M&G QLD) is coordinating a program to support the ongoing
development of galleries and museums towards best practice. Central to this is reviewing
operations against the National Standards for Australian Museums and Galleries v1.4 2014 to
identify strengths and weaknesses and help staff and volunteers plan for improved practices. The
standards look at facilities, collections and operations. Noosa is participating in the review
program to obtain some objective assessment of the gallery’s state of operations and obtain
advice on how we can better plan for the future.
