   4.3       South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017

The South East Queensland Regional Plan 2017 (SEQ Regional Plan) was adopted in August 2017 and is
intended to “guide the future of the South East Queensland region”. The plan seeks to balance the economic
and environmental forces which compete in the region through delivering viable long-term strategies. The
plan includes specific policies for the region which set out the desired regional outcomes, principals and policies
to address growth management in SEQ.

The site is contained within the Urban Footprint of the SEQ Regional Plan which is land that is intended to
“Meet the region’s urban development needs”. Inclusion of the land within the Urban Footprint area does not
implicitly mean that it can be developed for urban purposes, however based on the existing uses and the
surrounding sites, it is considered to be intended for urban purposes.

   4.4       The Noosa Plan 2006

As a code assessable development application, a direct assessment against the identified assessment criteria
from the planning scheme has been provided in the table below. The table provides an assessment against
the identified components, codes and policies from the planning scheme, being the code. It is noted that
where self-assessable development reverts to code assessable, the scope of the assessment is limited to those
aspects of the proposal that do not objectively satisfy the self-assessment criteria. However, in the interest of
transparency, a full assessment against all of the identified assessment criteria has been undertaken.

Under the provisions of the Noosa Plan the site is zoned Industry.
