3 Proposed Wastewater System
3.1 Proposed Wastewater System
Due to the proposed location of the cabins and their proximity to waterways, macerating sewage pump
stations are required at the buildings to transfer influent to an on-site sewage facility located away of
environmental constraints. The ‘advanced secondary’ facility (treatment plant and land application area,
as defined by QPW Code 2024), must be at least 10m from the bank of a watercourse, and will be
positioned to the south of the cabins.
A subsurface land application area consisting of piped trenches will be installed for the disposal of
treated effluent.
3.2 Design Details
Table 4 below presents the features of the proposed wastewater system.
