Dear Sirs,

On behalf of Noosa Sea Scouts, at 11 Eumundi Road Noosaville QLD, I am writing to lodge a formal objection to the aforementioned development application.

We have the following comments.

  1. Historically there have been significant noise and behaviour issues with properties with the same material use in the same block of units even those with 9pm noise restrictions similar to outlined in the submission. It should be noted that whilst noise restrictions can be implemented we have seen no evidence of how they can be effectively policed and our experience shows they are not and cannot be. The impact of this on Noosa Sea Scouts have been complaints from our own guests, resulting in additional work for the onsite managers, negative google reviews and revenue loss. No evidence has been supplied in the submission to suggest that this will not be on ongoing issue.
  2. Noosa Sea Scouts is a not for profit, community minded organisation and is heavily reliant on campground revenue to fund scouting activities. The provision of further ( unnecessary) short term accommodation as shown previously is likely to have a negative revenue impact and affect our financial ability to deliver community minded services.
  3. The short-term accommodation is being positioned in an area that is largely residential and outside of the core short term accommodation areas in the region.
  4. There is already a plethora of accommodation options in the area. We do not understand why there is a requirement for more options of this type.

Regards
