I attended a community meeting last night regarding the application for the establishment of this  intense food production factory. I cannot understand why any council would allow such an establishment to be considered in this environment. It is completely at odds with the safety, health, and long term benefit to the area. We have only moved here recently from the Western Downs where farm land is being turned into gas fields and where the local council is only interested in developing those businesses which are related to this industry. We thought that the SCRC would be different? I hope that the last legacy before deamalgamation is NOT this scar on the landscape and community.
