K - Preliminary Arborist Report (29.08.2019)
03.4 SUMMARY OF TABLE ONE
A total of eight (8) isolated trees and three (3) areas distinct area of forming vegetation
were assessed.
From our assessment of the available drawings and performing a site assessment in the
absence of an individual tree survey, we believe the subject trees can be retained. Our
findings are preliminary but largely appear manageable based on our experience if adequate
tree protection measures are implemented in accordance with this conditional report, and a
commissioned Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIA) development of work method
statements and onsite supervision by an AQF Level 5 Arborist (Supervising Project
Arborist).
We are of the professional opinion that retention of the subject trees and immediate
forming vegetation will allow for the integration of public open space with connection to
the edge of the development site. Its should be noted that the edge effect of the
respective vegetation is fragmented which could be enriched with the implementation of
through a revegetation management plan and landscape plan.
The retention of the subject trees and immediate forming vegetation will enhance the
landscape amenity, provide screenage, shade casting to the proposed car park and open
space. Generally, the foreseen vegetation relationship with the built space will reflect the
adjacent precinct density and landscape design outcomes to aligned with the elected sub-
tropical design as outlined with ‘Probable Solutions of the Landscaping Code’.
