RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Property Advisor to the General Committee Meeting dated 15
April 2019 regarding the Draft Events Policy for Noosa Shire and agree to adopt the Draft Policy
(provided as Attachment 1 to the report) for the purpose of proceeding to community
consultation.

REPORT
The purpose of this report is to seek Council adoption of a Draft Events Policy prior to proceeding
to community and stakeholder consultation for the policy.

In response to increasing event proposals and community feedback, Council has sought to
establish a framework to guide the holding of events in the shire. In 2018 Council addressed
issues regarding the use of Noosa Main Beach for events by adopting the Noosa Main Beach
Events Policy. The following general framework is now proposed:
