5.2.2         Parameters for typical usage
The following parameters were used for noise calculations:
       a) Car movements are predicted from the nearest car parking areas. Calculations are based
          on a peak hour traffic generation rate of approximately 422 vehicles per hour as
          determined in the TTM traffic engineering assessment;
       b) Car door closures are predicted from the nearest relevant car parking area. Noise
          predictions allow for 2 car door closures for each vehicle movement;
       c) Car engine starts are predicted from the nearest relevant car parking area. Noise
          predictions allow for 1 engine start per vehicle movement;
       d) Voices (conversation) are predicted from the nearest alfresco area. Calculations are based
          on voice conversations occurring 50% of the time;
       e) Truck movements and reverse alarms are predicted from the nearest relevant location
          within the site (i.e. access areas or loading bays) and the IGA loading area. Calculations
          are based on 10 heavy vehicle deliveries onsite and 2 heavy vehicle deliveries from the
          IGA in any 1 hour period;
       f) Waste bin lid slamming predicted from the nearest refuse area and the IGA loading area.
             Calculations are based on 10 events onsite and 4 events from the IGA occurring in any 1
             hour period. A similar noise source level could also be expected for sources such as
             dropping glass rubbish into the bins;
       g) Waste collection is predicted from the loading zones. Calculations are based on 2 events
          in any 1 hour period;
       h) Pallet jacks are predicted from the IGA loading area. Calculations are based on 2 events in
          any 1 hour period;
       i) Air hose is predicted from the service station fronting Noosa Drive. Calculations are based
             on 48 events in any 1 hour period;
       j) Fuel pump is predicted from the service station fronting Noosa Drive. Calculations are
             based on fuel pump operation occurring 100% of the time;
