5.2.3.3 Mechanical Plant
Assessment of mechanical plant is pursuant to the noise requirements of EPP 2008 Background
Creep (steady-state).

As per Council’s information request, mechanical plant noise impacts associated with the IGA
loading area and the 7/11 fronting Noosa Drive were calculated to the proposed onsite residential
receiver 3.

Table 14 presents the predicted mechanical plant noise levels impacts associated with the IGA
and the 7/11. Predictions are based on actual noise measurements conducted by TTM.

*includes 5 dB(A) adjustment to account for tonal noise characteristics in accordance with AS1055.

Mechanical plant noise levels are predicted to be above the criteria during the evening and night
time periods at the proposed on-site receiver (Receiver 3). As the building is a part of the
proposed development, building treatments will be specified to ensure that internal noise levels
comply with the requirements.
