6.         Amplified Music and Live Entertainment
6.1        Noise Source Levels
This noise assessment is based on predictions of amplified music within the Hotel. Noise source
noise levels have been taken from previous similar investigations. The noise source levels
presented in Table 15 and Table 16 were measured at a distance of 3 metres from the speaker.

The source music used in this assessment was dance music with a high bass component.

6.2        Predicted Noise Levels – Before 10pm
Note that predictions with the speaker source located inside the hotel assume all external
windows and doors are closed. The predictions assume a 22 dB reduction from inside to outside
with doors closed (refer to section 8.2.1 for potential construction requirements).

Predicted noise levels of amplified music at the Hotel to the nearest noise affected premises
before 10pm are shown in Table 17.
