Dear Cherie O’Sullivan
Minor works advice for Noosa Surf Life Saving Club Relocatable Shed
(Lot 115 MCH839107)
The Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning (DSDIP) received a
request from you dated 4 March 2015, wherein you described your proposed work on land
at Lot 115 MCH839107, located within a coastal management district.
Under schedule 26 of the Sustainable Planning Regulation 2009, certain works may
be considered “excluded work” if the work is minor work that would have an
insignificant impact on coastal management and is reversible or expendable.
Based on the information provided about the proposal, I am satisfied the works are to be
minor work. The work described in your letter is:
• Relocation of the jet ski storage shed within the coastal management district;
• Works to be constructed for rapid removal, if required;
• Works do not include any protection works;
• Small footprint of permanent works.
This advice is based solely on the description of the work as specified in your letter of 4
March 2015 and as shown in the development plans:
• Footing Plan, prepared by TOD Consulting Engineers, reference no.14712-S3,
dated December, Revision A; and
• Floor Plan, prepared by TOD Consulting Engineers, reference no.14712-S4, dated
December, Revision A.
Note you have a general environmental duty as defined by section 319 of the
