MCU10/2083 Notice of Submission Trish Christie NPM
Subject: RE: Application Number MCU10/2083 - Developer seeking rezoning of Residential Use to Commercial Use. From: btchristie Date: 2011-02-10T14:32:05+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council Trish Christie 46 Elsie Street Watermans Bay 6020 (Joint owner of property at 16 Keel Court Noosaville 4566) Thursday, 10 February 2011 Dear Sir or Madam, RE: Application Number MCU10/2083 As an owner of a nearby property, with the intention of being a long term resident of Noosa Waters, I strongly object to this application and see no good reason to allow this land to be rezoned for commercial use. I have lived in Noosa Waters for several years and know that the residents already have ample access to all the proposed shopping types in the Noosa Village shopping centre and surrounding existing businesses. The opening of a Mc Donald's restaurant on this corner has already congested the only available access for Noosa Waters residence entering via Skipper Place; Any further commercial premise on the south side of Gibson Road would be totally unacceptable. Skipper Place is not a suitable feed road for traffic entering a commercial premise as it is used by all local residents in this precinct as access to the Noosa Waters estate and needs to be a safe environment for children and families walking, push biking, commuting to schools and other community venues. Retired people and other residents in the Noosa Waters estate are entitled to the quiet enjoyment of their small neighbourhood enclave especially considering their close proximity to an already busy commercial precinct that caters for tourists and the broader Noosa community on the north side of Gibson Road. Regards Trish Christie.
