Part 1 Guidelines

[s 548]

                (a)   include an assessment of the condition of Queensland’s
                      major environmental resources; and
                (b)   identify significant trends in environmental values; and
                (c)   review significant programs, activities and achievements
                      of persons and public authorities about the protection,
                      restoration or enhancement of Queensland’s
                      environment; and
                (d)   evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of
                      environmental strategies implemented to achieve the
                      object of this Act.
          (3)   The Minister must table a copy of the report in the Legislative
                Assembly within 14 sitting days after receiving it.

Part 1                      Guidelines

548        Chief executive may make guidelines for administering
           authorities
          (1)   The chief executive may make guidelines about how an
                administering authority complies with a regulatory
                requirement.
          (2)   If the chief executive makes a guideline about how an
                administering authority complies with a regulatory
                requirement, the administering authority must follow the
                guidelines in complying with the regulatory requirement.
          (3)   Before making a guideline, the chief executive must consult
                with the persons or entities the chief executive considers
                appropriate.
