This is the Risk Assessed Management Plan (‘RAMP’) for the premises known as Your Mates Bowls
Pub (YMBP). This RAMP contains information about the procedures and practices, prescribed under
Section 38A of the LiquorRegulation 2002, for the conduct of business at the premises.
The management & staff of Your Mates Bowls Pub (the Licensed premise) are committed to
providing a safe and friendly environment for our customers and the community at large.
Management acknowledges that all staff will be trained and accredited in the Responsible Service
of Alcohol (RSA) along with having an awareness and understanding of this document and their
obligations under the Liquor Act 1992 and Liquor Regulation 2002, to assist in minimising the
potential harm that can be caused by alcohol abuse and misuse.
This RAMP is to be read in conjunction with the premise’s Liquor Licence.
1. Principal Activity
The principal activity of YMBP is “the provision of meals prepared, and served to be eaten, on
the licensed premises”.
2. Hours of Operation
Refer to liquor licence document for approved licensed trading hours.
3. Responsible Service of Alcohol
All Staff involved in the sale of liquor at YMBP are trained in the Responsible Service of Alcohol
(RSA). The licensee will ensure that there is a senior staff member on duty during standard
trading hours who will be responsible for the compliant and safe management of the venue.
An Approved Manager trained in the Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) will
be present on the premises during any period of extended licensed trading hours.
Staff at YMBP will be trained to be proactive and monitor patron behaviour. If Staff believe
that a patron is showing signs of intoxication, then the patron will be refused any further
service of alcohol and may be offered water and or removed from the premises.
The licensee will not engage in any promotions that encourage the rapid or excessive
consumption of alcohol, or any activities that are likely to promote the irresponsible service
of alcohol.
The licensee will prepare and maintain harm minimisation plans for all liquor promotions.
Free drinking water will be available.
A range of non-alcoholic and light or low strength alcoholic drinks will also be available.
All alcohol will be provided in standard measured quantities which enables patrons to monitor
alcohol consumption. Half measures/nips will be available on request.
Staff members (and crowd controllers if on duty) will be fully supported to enforce RSA
policies and procedures and management will support any decision to refuse service to any
patron.

The Licensee will ensure all copies of staff training certificates – Responsible Service of
Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) are available for
inspection at the premises.
Customers are required to provide acceptable evidence of age if they appear to be under 25
years of age.
All RSA practices are required to be complied with whether the venue is open for general trade
or being utilised for a function.
4. Liquor Accord
The Licensee notes the value of Liquor Accord Membership and is aware of the existence of
the CALM Noosa Liquor Accord, which us the nearest accord group to the venue, and the
licensee is willing to consider joining this group if necessary.
5. Arrangements at YMBP with respect to:
5.1 Arrangements for Lighting
All areas of the premise are sufficiently well-lit to assist the licensee to provide a safe
environment and to allow staff to observe all patrons and identify any minors, unduly
intoxicated or disorderly patrons.
5.2 Arrangements for Noise Mitigation
There are some noise conditions and supporting conditions endorsed on the venue liquor
licence and by ensuring compliance with these conditions it assists the licensee in mitigating
any potential negative impacts from noise disturbance.
Staff and management monitor the premises to ensure that any noise emanating from the
premises is not excessive. They also monitor patron behaviour to ensure that they are not
making excessive noise or disturbing other patrons or the occupants of neighbouring premises,
particularly at the time of dispersal from the premises. Any patrons who are considered to be
noisy or unruly are spoken with regarding appropriate standards of behaviour. Staff and
management also monitor the noise from plant and equipment.
Staff are required to report any noise complaints to management at the time they are
received. Management will address any genuine complaint and take steps to rectify any noise
levels considered unreasonable or excessive, in real time.
5.3 Arrangements for Security
The Licensee does not routinely employ the services of licensed Crowd Controllers;
however, the Licensee regularly reviews its operations to determine whether security staff are
required for functions, events, or special occasions (eg – Melbourne Cup Day, etc.)
All security staff who would be employed at the venue are required to comply with the
provisions of the Security Providers Act 1993, Liquor Act 1992 (Qld) and the principles of
responsible service of alcohol and the obligations of the Club’s RAMP.
All Crowd Controllers have RSA certification and are dressed in such a manner so that they are
able to be readily identified and separated from patrons and venue staff.

permitted on the premises in accordance with the specific exemption provided by s155(4)(e)
and conditioned on the liquor licence and other exemption provisions detailed in s155(4) of the

not be served to minors and when the age of a patron is in doubt, staff will ask any patron who
appears to be under the age of 25 years for identification to verify their age, before serving
them liquor.
Any minor that attempts to purchase liquor at YMBP will be refused service and asked to leave
the premises. If a minor shows identification that has been tampered with, or it is believed that
the identification document is being used by someone other than the lawful owner, the
identification document will be confiscated and forwarded to the Office of Liquor and Gaming
Regulation, together with details of the incident.

The Licensee, management and staff endeavour to ensure that patrons of the venue do not
have an adverse impact on the amenity of the local neighbourhood, or the community at
large, by managing the behaviour of patrons when on site and at the time of dispersal.
The licensee takes all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment in and around the
premises, by employing good RSA practices and complying with the conditions endorsed on
the liquor licence, thus mitigating the potential for an adverse impact on the local
neighbourhood.

The Licensee takes all reasonable steps to ensure staff and patrons behave in an orderly
manner when entering or leaving the premises.
The licensee complies with all noise conditions endorsed on the venue’s liquor licence.
Noise emanating from the venue is monitored by management or staff conducting regular
checks both inside and outside the premises to ensure that it is not unreasonable and does not
have a negative impact on the local community.
The operation of YMBP has little or no impact on the amenity of the local community.
The venue is located at 5 Opal Street, Cooroy which is located on the eastern side of the Cooroy
township and main railway line. Opal Street is a side road that leads off Elm Street. Elm Street
is part of the main road throughfare through the township and leads east to Noosa via
Tewantin Road and north towards the Lake MacDonald and Noosa hinterland area.
There are residential properties at the rear of the venue and on the opposite (Southern) side

(3) pathways are not licensed for the purposes of selling or consuming liquor.
As such, all staff need to be vigilant in their management of these areas and ensure that
patrons do not take liquor into these unlicensed areas.
The licensee has erected signage at the boundary of the licensed areas advising patrons that
liquor is not permitted to be taken beyond those points, into the unlicensed areas.
Page 7
If a patron is observed taking liquor into the unlicensed areas or seen to be in possession or
