Disaster Management This plan is consistent with the Disaster Management Strategic
Policy Statement which informs the Queensland Government’s
Strategic Policy Statement
strategic approach to keeping people safe and making
communities more resilient to disaster risks and impacts.
The LDMG takes a flexible and scalable approach to disaster
management which provides for the reduction of risk and the
enhancement of community resilience whilst ensuring effective
response and recovery capabilities.
