Properly Made Submission (Object No.17) - Sharon Marston & Anthony Harris - MCU12/0216
Subject: col BCS 1192 MCU12/0216 Submission Attention Marcus Brennan From: Cordwood Developments Date: 2013-05-06T05:01:55+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council Dear Marcus, We wish to make a submission to council with objection to the proposed works in relation to application MCU12/0216. We are the owners of Cordwood Estate (17 Wilgee Court, Cooroy) which shares its boundary to the North with the proposed receiving site for the material which is to be re-located from the brickworks site. Firstly we shall like to object to the fact that we were not notified of the proposed works. It is our understanding that all direct neighbours should be informed along with the newspaper advertising and the site signs. The applicant in its information response states that the receiving points are located adjacent to rural areas predominantly primary industry based. Further it seems that the nearest "sensitive" receiving point is 300 metres away. We would suggest that our boundary is less than 300 metres from the closest pit to be filled and furthermore have a residential housing estate as opposed to rural or primary industry activities. Considering the proximity and the lengthy two year duration of the works, we feel that these activities will be highly detrimental to potential residents of our estate in terms of noise and dust. We also have concerns as to water quality and run-off as our estate does collect water from the site to the North. This water ends up in our bio-retention basin and has the potential to be detrimental to our water quality. It is also a major worry to us if at any stage they decide to use Wilgee Court as an entry for trucks and further we would like to be assured that there shall be no vehicles accessing from Wilgee Court. Regards, Sharon Marston & Anthony Harris Cordwood Developments 0422 231 555 www.cordwoodestate.com.au 137 Pryor Road, Verrierdale 4562
