The final approach to measuring noise impacts is modelling relating to individual aircraft types for
take offs and landings. Contour maps can show the anticipated noise level for different locations
showing which areas will potentially hear noise from flight arrivals and departures and at what decibel
level. The Sunshine Coast Airport has an online tool that shows the expected maximum noise impact
of the Boeing B737-700 for both take offs and landings (see below).
