              Re: MCU22/0201 - 34 Elm St, Cooroy – Proposed Car Wash in Cooroy

I am writing on behalf of the Management Committee of the Noosa Chamber of Commerce and
Industry in relation to the Cooroy Ecowash, a car wash proposed for development in Cooroy.

Our committee has examined the proposal for the Cooroy Ecowash forwarded to me by Kings
Group (QLD) Pty Ltd. The proposal is endorsed by the Noosa Chamber of Commerce and Industry
because the committee considers that this facility would be an asset to Cooroy residents and those
in the Noosa hinterland.

The existence of a car wash in Cooroy would be environmentally beneficial because the water used
for washes is treated and recycled, instead of pollutants running into storm water whilst individual
car owners use town water to clean their cars.

Additionally, the Cooroy car wash would reduce the number of trips to car washes in Noosaville that
are currently made by residents of the Cooroy region, saving fuel costs and reducing emissions.

We urge the Council to support this proposal.
