Dear Madam / Sir,

Application Number MCU1O/2083

I am writing to lodge my objection to the application by Marquette Bowen Pty.
Ltd. for the proposed development at 37 Gibson Road, Noosaville (previously
the Noosa Garden Centre).

      My reason for concern are noise and extra traffic in what is normally a
very quiet area, rubbish strewn in our streets (as present in Gibson Road from
the McDonalds store), burnouts from hoons which are attracted to these
venues, extra lighting that will disturb residents who live close by.

      An entry/exit in Skipper Place will cause real problems with traffic
congestion at the roundabout at Gibson Rd which is already busy and
dangerous.

      A convenience store and other businesses on this land would be of no
benefit to local residents. There is already a store in Gympie Terrace. There are
always vacant premises in existing shops for this purpose.

      I understand the owners right to be able to sell this land, and if it was
used for residential housing, the general feeling around this neighbourhood is
there would be no objection to this.

I urge you to reject this application.
