4.   Recent achievements

NLC has been able to achieve the following over the past 6 months:
    Progressed facility reopening following COVID-19 closure and increased operations as
     restrictions eased.
    Assisted key user groups to get back up and running at NLC.
    Climbing wall safety inspection completed and subsequent enhancements undertaken in line
     with recommendations.
    New carpet installed in downstairs meeting rooms.
    Completion of a number of planned maintenance projects including upgrade to volleyball posts
     and recoating of the stadium floor.
    First annual Pickleball tournament held in October, in line with World Pickleball Day.
    Continued growth of the NLC Pickleball program.
    Marketing campaign launched to re-engage with patrons and encourage a return to activities
     at NLC.

5.   Upcoming priorities

The following priorities will be key focuses for management throughout the second half of 2020/21:
     Continue safe management of the facility in line with COVID-safe plans and rebuilding of the
      centre’s customer and revenue base.
     Ongoing monitoring of the COVID-19 landscape and adjustment of operations if required.
     Upgrade of the current centre management software to enable patrons to purchase
      memberships and visit passes online.
     Continued enhancements to the centre’s aesthetics.
     Upgrade of faulty stadium scoreboards.
     Completion of lighting upgrade to external areas within the Wallace Park precinct, including
      the NLC car park areas.
     Further consideration of future works projects including sanding and resealing of the stadium
      floor.
