Purpose and objectives
The Noosa Biosecurity Plan provides Council, community and land managers with a framework
for the management of invasive animals and plants in an effective, practical and meaningful
way. The Plan’s purpose is to:

manage invasive plant and animal biosecurity risks to people, biodiversity, and the local
economy based on priorities and actions that are reasonable and practical for the
    community and land managers.

The objectives for invasive plant and animal management are outlined below.

Apply an adaptive and responsive approach to managing invasive
plants and animals based on current data, shared knowledge,
                         ongoing research, monitoring, and evaluation.
