Gap Analysis
Based on the demand and supply findings (Figure 4 and Table 1), there is currently net additional need for
98 residential aged care places. Assuming no additional supply enters the market, net additional need is
projected to increase to 782 residential aged care places by 2036. This equates to an average annual growth
rate of 12.3% over the next 18 years.
