automated notification, and/or automatic activation of sprinkler or wet-down systems ahead of
ember attack. While such systems are not considered necessary to achieve an acceptable level
of bushfire risk management for the areas assessed in this report, and are not recommended as
a required mitigation measure, they may represent a supplementary, reactive protection option
for Areas 2 and 3 should the Community Body Corporate/Precinct Bodies Corporate wish to
consider them in the future. Any consideration of such systems would need to be informed by
cost-benefit analysis, system reliability, maintenance requirements, and alignment with QFES
operational practices.
