    3.0       Characteristics of the Site and Surrounding Area

    3.1       Overview

              3.1.1 Location of Subject Site


              The subject site is located at 135 Lake Weyba Drive, Noosaville and is legally
              described as Lot 1 on RP36729. The subject site is located approximately 2km from
              the Noosaville Township to the north, 3km from Noosa Heads to the northeast and
              800m from Eenie Creek Drive to the north which provides convenient access to the
              wider road network. The subject site is afforded easy access to the Noosa Civic
              centre to the site’s west via Eenie Creek Drive, which provides services including a
              Woolworths, Big W, cafes, clothing stores, bank branches, food outlets, a post office
              and medical services. In addition, the subject site is also afforded with opportune
              access to several recreational open space areas.        Figure 1 below provides a locality
              map, which identifies the location of the subject site in relation to the surrounding
              area.
