A Message from the ZEN Chair
THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO MAKE THE 2026 EV & ELECTRIFY
EVERYTHIHG THE BEST EXPO YET!
A huge thanks to our supporting partners, Noosa Shire Council and
the Noosa Junction Association. Without this support, the Expo
would not have been possible. A special mention to Sion Zivetz and
Julie Duncan from NSC for your help and guidance and Tim Rook and
Kristie Turschell from NJA for your valued and valuable support.
A BIG thank you also to our sponsors who brought such amazing
products and services to showcase for the Expo visitors and who
also helped us cover the additional costs of putting on an event of
this scope. It was wonderful to have many new as well as some
returning sponsors this year.
Page 3
To our Exhibitors, a BIG shout out for providing an incredible and informative variety of exhibits for our visitors to look, listen and learn from. They found real benefit also in having their questions answered about EV’s and how to electrify everything and save money. Our Community Supporters helped us promote the event as well as shared information about their wide range of activities for the Noosa Shire residents and visitors about living and thriving in the Noosa Biosphere. Thank you for your continuing support for ZEN and the Expo
Page 4
Our passionate EV owners loved talking to prospective EV owners about their experiences. Thanks for helping people make the change to EV’s. To our ZEN Expo Working Group of volunteers – thank you for 9 months of dedication to the cause to help make the Expo happen. You are all amazing – Colin Lambie, John Green, Charlene Summerville, Mick Millington, and Doug Webb. It was great to be a part of this group of hard-working volunteers! A special shout out to Darren Walters and Doug Webb, our pre- event road signage team, for erecting and monitoring our signage in the lead up to the Expo. It was great to have your help.
Page 5
This year saw a greatly expanded presence for ZEN as exhibitors with Adrian Bukmanis, Anne Kennedy, Charlene Sommerville, Colin Lambie, Don Parry, Greg Schumann. Josh Stevens, Mick Millington, Sven Hansen, and Vikki McLeod talking to attendees about ZEN, EV’s and Home/Business Energy at the main marquee …and Andrew McNee , Jenny Clement and Vivian Griffin talking e- Bikes and transport at the ZEN Noosa e-Bike Library display
Page 6
Thank you also to Kristie Turschell of the Noosa Junction Association for organizing the Hot91 live broadcast and recruiting local legends Luc and Pascal (as well as securing the facility) for the 2026 Culinary Experience. Thanks also to Amy Butler and Mark Purcell for administrating and helping deliver a very special experience demonstrating the precision and speed of induction cooking as part of electrifying homes and businesses to a very appreciative audience!
Page 7
A very special thanks to our Expo Project Manager Rex Halverson for leading the Expo team again in 2026 and bringing in the sponsors and exhibitors. To our long time Exhibitor Liaison Officer, Meghan Halverson, many thanks for your knowledge, experience and people skills that you bring to help make another very successful event.
Page 8
To MASK Events, Dom & Sarah, congratulations on delivering another great Expo for ZEN Inc. You are great to work with, and we really appreciate your help and guidance Last, but by no means least, a shout out to all our Expo visitors – you are the reason we do this to assist you on your journey towards renewables and e-transport!
Page 9
Thank you also to the RACV Noosa Resort for once again hosting the Green Drinks and Industry Networking night on the Saturday prior to the Expo and to Noosa Council for supporting the event. More than 100 guests attended the Expo Green Drinks & Industry Networking Evening at RACV Noosa Resort, where leading clean energy journalists Giles Parkinson, founder and editor of Renew Economy and The Driven, and Anne Delaney, Electrification Editor at Renew Economy and host of the SwitchedOn podcast, shared their insights on Australia's rapidly evolving energy transition. Anne explored why home and business electrification is becoming one of the smartest investments Australians can make, highlighting the significant opportunities to reduce energy costs while improving comfort and resilience, while Giles examined the accelerating shift to electric vehicles, emerging technologies including vehicle-to-grid, and the market trends that are reshaping Australia's transport future.

The 2026 EV & EE Expo at a Glance • This was the 8th Annual Noosa EV & Electrify Everything Expo organized by ZEN - and the fourth year of being held on Sunshine Beach Road. • Attendance at the event itself was 6,500 and the event was busy from before the opening at 9am to the 1pm finish • There were 65 exhibitors signed including 36 different models of EV cars and trucks plus a very robust assortment of EV bikes, scooters, motorbikes and motorcycles. • This was the third year to also include an emphasis on home and business electrification and the number of first-time exhibitors in this space included solar carports, pool heating controls, energy management, EV chargers, home batteries and of course solar. • ZEN had two display areas including the e-Bike library display for the second year and a expanded main marquee area near the centre of the event staffed with a number of Home Energy Champions to answer questions about saving money on energy bills, ZEN’s Business Energy Advisor, Josh Stevens who answered questions from businesses and Giles Parkinson to answer EV questions. • The opening launch event featured Sandy Bolton, MP for Noosa, Mayor Frank Wilkie and Dean Stuart from Platinum sponsor Cricks Sunshine Coast - supported by Ohme who generously provided a home charger for the lucky winner. • As last year all the induction cooking demonstration sessions, featuring Noosa Culinary legends Luc and Pascal Turschwell, were full and was promoted as one of the many Expo “experiences”. • The Entertainment Precinct was very active with a live Hot91 broadcast & games booth, Unity Water, a face painter & musicians. • There were over 40 volunteers supporting this event including ZEN members and supporters. • The event delivery was managed by the the ZEN Expo Working Group and MASK for a third year. ZEN also invested in an Expo Coordinator for a second year along with the Exhibitor Liaison role. • Other external liaisons included Sion Zivetz, our Noosa Shire Council staff representative as well as the new Noosa Junction Association representative Kristie Turschwell.

2026 Expo Visitor Survey highlights We received 270 responses using the platform created for us by DashHound for the second year 64% of the 6500 attendees were first timers demonstrating increasing interest and expanding engagement from the community wanting to know how to save money by electrifying their homes, businesses and transport. With visitors from throughout SE Queensland (and beyond!)
Page 15
…and nearly one third of non-Noosa residents came to the
area specifically to attend the Expo…
Returning visitors came for the EV’s (unsurprisingly) however many
were equally interested in learning more about reducing their
energy costs and environmental impact by electrifying their homes
and businesses as well as transport
Page 16
Overall, the Noosa EV & EE Expo provided the
opportunity to learn about multiple community interests
…and delivered with 93% of attendees rating the Expo
4 or 5 stars (for an average score of 4.5 out of 5)
Page 17

Most importantly the Expo wasn’t just fun - it was inspirational and enabling! A remarkable 74% said that the Expo helped them with their EV or e-mobility decision making …and 60% of attendees indicated they planned to purchase an EV within the next 12 months! Plus nearly a quarter of the respondents also plan to purchase a legal e-bike or other e-mobility option
Page 19
The Expo score was even stronger for electrification! The future and ongoing impact on energy saving and emissions reduction for our community is substantial
Page 20
The Expo also delivered immediate economic contributions for local businesses With 38% of overnight or longer visitors spending more than $500 while in the area for the Expo
Page 21
There is a strong appetite for more from ZEN
Additional suggestions attendees suggested included
Solar battery More bike parking Grants to electrify Figuring out how to
qualified technicians make taking a small

Page 22
From a marketing perspective social media, newspaper ads or articles and word of mouth were the biggest awareness tools – though street signs combined with the message boards also contributed significantly!

87% of Exhibitors rated the relevance of visitors on the day as being Good or Excellent with substantial leads and/or follow-up opportunities

Logistically we scored very well on pre-event communication and a bit less well on the bump in/out experience. The “poor” was Golf Cars Australia and was related to issues noted and addressed in both volunteers & Expo Work Group feedback.

Exhibitor comments
• We were quite busy with 5 of us fairly constant in talking to people
interested in purchasing solar, batteries and EV chargers.
• Mitchell Celtic Solar
• Lots of engagement, but we have not turned these leads into
business yet
• Andrew Noosa Electric
• The event was very well run from an exhibitor viewpoint, smooth and
seamless. Great information and help was available always if needed.
The attendees appeared very engaged and we were able to share our
information about the biosphere reserve
• Anna Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation
• As local government, we want to speak to our community, which we
were able to do. Our stall was busy from before 9am right up until
1pm. We had many valuable conversations from a variety of
community members. Our libraries staff were particularly busy
through the day.
• Sion Noosa Shire Council
• Customers were very engaged and it was clear they wanted to be
there to learn and asked great questions about home
solar/batteries/EV Chargers. We received great leads and had many
wonderful conversations with locals and expo visitors.
• CDC Solar
• First time here, hard to gauge without attending a couple of times, and
leads are still coming through.
• Jayden Golf Cars Australia
• Most visitors we spoke to were thinking about an EV and came to look
at electric cars but didn't have one yet... Which is fine as it might be
reflective of the adoption ramping up in Queensland
• Julie Ivygo
•
Page 29
Exhibitor comments continued
• Lots of interest in our brand, it’s a relatively new brand so good to
get the branding out there in the community
• Alex Leapmotor
• There was good foot traffic but I don't think our offering was
obvious in the mix - on reflection we should have had a stand with
a local pool shop operator as most people utilise and trust their
pool shops. This is not on you it is on us - a future learning
• Ross Together Energy
• The event was great. Suggest having it run at least one hour longer.
• Sion Noosa Shire Council
• I do not have too much feedback. Everything seemed to track quite
well for us.
• Mitchell Celtic Solar
• It would be good to see the hours extended 9-3. It’s a full day either
way. We might as well make a full day of it.
• Ty Momenteum Moto
• it was well organised and a great turnout - no real suggestions on
the running of the event
• Ross Together Energy
• I thought it was all amazing the only thing it was lacking was more
in the games/entertainment area. A food truck or coffee van would
have been great down there. I didn't see the live music but may
have missed it?
• CDC Solar
• None - a very well run event, we love it! Team NECo :)
• Andrea Noosa Electric.
• Maybe extend to 2 or 3pm if possible with the council? It ends up
being a short day for exhibitors coming from further afield...
• Jule Ivygo
Page 30
The key and overall feedback metric is positive with 90+% ticking “probably” or “for sure” interested in exhibiting again next year (though the percentage of For Sure was slightly higher last year).
Page 31
While subjective (sponsors would have had a very different experience than private car owners for example), the exhibitors mirrored the visitors survey in seeing social media related marketing as most effective from their point of view (also EDM’s) There is a difference worth noting here in while the Expo website was not listed a place where people learned about the Expo initially in the visitor survey it was highly regarded by our exhibitors – and we know that it was highly utilized for more information by potential visitors who heard of the Expo elsewhere

We had a new PR agency (Crisp Communications) for this years
Expo and as they were brought on relatively close to the Expo they
had to go through a steep learning curve about working with ZEN
and the Expo itself - and we started ”seeding” the market later
than proposed.
As you will see on the following page the overall numbers in terms
of attendees and website visitors were very close to last years
results.
There is a very large increase in reported social “reach” however a
significant drop off in new social followers. This may be due to a
change in the focus and delivery or differences in measuring
outcomes.

Recommendations - Exhibitors • I don't know if I missed it or you may not have had budget but often there is a journalist type person who comes to each stall with a camera man to interview us so we get to say who we are and why we are at the Expo. Would be awesome content for following year and likely usable for years!! • Great show , thank you. A buffer between stalls (more spacing ) was one of the main things we noticed. • Keep the children’s activities growing as it attracts families I feel. • Apart from the feedback we gave at the start that there were no street names on the map and as non-locals we didn't know what The J carpark was everything went perfectly. • The bump in procedure was better than last year, but we were still given conflicting information from different people. • It would be good to see the hours extended 9-3. Its a full day either way. We might as well make a full day of it. • Maybe extend to 2 or 3pm if possible with the council? It ends up being a short day for exhibitors coming from further afield...

Recommendations- Visitors • There were no substantive changes suggested by the visitors – reflecting that the Expo as it was met and/or exceeded expectations. • Specifically, the overwhelming majority of comments praised the organization of the event, the variety of EV’s, products and vendors - and quality of information. • The only negative is that even while a number of people lauded the number of EV cars, several commented that they wished there were more. This was largely down to a desire to see s specific model of a brand that was exhibiting and or a brand not exhibiting (BYD was mentioned several times by name). • We had a more robust assortment of solar/home battery providers this year however there were a couple of mentions of visitors seeking more household electric options including induction cooktops, heat pumps and pool solutions. • Noting there was one request for food stall options and one for ”electric farm products” while the entertainment and private owners precincts where singled out for praise.
