Council has since issued an Information Request on 9 July 2014 which outlined a request for additional information relating to landscaping, car parking, storm water, waste and signage. During discussions with Council officers regarding the information request, it was revealed that Council did not appear to be any records for the conversion of the existing industrial building on site to a warehouse (self storage facility). The applicant was unaware that an application was required however Council staff advised that an application to change the use of the existing building for warehouse uses was required. In accordance with section 355 of the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, we therefore seek to change the existing application lodged with Council and request approval for the conversion of the existing building to Type 1 Warehouse (self storage) as well as approval for a new purpose built building. The application is therefore changed in the following manner: • Revised plans that detail the existing building and proposed building for use as a Type 1 Warehouse (self storage) facility; • Landscape plans for the entire site illustrating compliance with scheme provisions; • Revised plans illustrating car parking and maneuvering on site; and • Stormwater drainage plans. These plans are to replace the existing plans submitted with the application and considered in conjunction with the existing planning statement submitted.

The revised plans seek approval for a total of 3443.1m for self storage and office and have been
reviewed against the planning scheme provisions. The new building is considered to generally comply
with the relevant scheme provisions except with regard to an awning that intrudes into the front
setback. This awning is considered acceptable for the following reasons:
• Awning is currently existing and does not impact on the surrounding area;
• Additional landscaping has been provided along the front of the site which screens the
building;
• Surrounding uses not affected by awning location; and
• Awning denotes access to the site which is a desirable.
