Details of Submission I (We), the undersigned make the following submission: We would like to support the submission for the farming project at the above address. We would also like to commend the owners on their consideration of the environment, preservation of farm land and up keeping the use of rural zoned land. After reading their vision statement, it is obvious that the owners have put alot of thought and research into this venture. We believe small scale operations like the one proposed are the way of the future. The animals are treated more humanly as in this case kept out at pasture and locked up only at night in a chicken caravan. They have a better quality of life than a battery hen. The land benefits from the natural fertilizer, improved pastures and reduction of weeds, ticks and parasites. Being a small scale operation there should be little impact to surrounding residents. As chickens are moved daily, there should be no smell and little increase in traffic as the owners will be using a vehicle which is already on the property. We believe this is a very well thoughtout application.
