was poorer. However, it should be noted that the investigation was completed shortly after very heavy
rainfall.
4.4 Vegetation
Vegetation across the site at the time of the investigation comprised a mixture of long grasses across the
open undulating hills and small groves or linear features of large mature trees. These appeared to be
relatively straight, with no obvious signs of distorted growth which could be attributed to slope
instability. Although difficult to determine due to the long grasses at the time of the investigation,
possible shallow soil creep may be present on the steeper slopes at the site.
4.5 Buildings and Other Structures
Three agricultural sheds were present in the north-western corner of the site, they are expected to be
retained on Future Lots 1 and 2. Based on an external assessment, they generally appeared to be in fair
structural condition, considering age, with no obvious signs of distress (e.g. tilting, cracking,
misalignment etc.) which would indicate global slope instability.
4.6 Geology
Published geology mapping 1 (Ref. Text Figure 9) indicates that the site is underlain by the middle Triassic
age sedimentary strata of the Kin Kin Beds formation generally comprising mudstone siltstone and
sandstone.
