Attention: Assessment Manager I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed development of a car wash at the intersection of Elm Street and Opal Street in Cooroy. As a concerned resident of this beautiful town, I firmly believe that this project threatens the very character and tranquility that drew me to make Cooroy my home. Cooroy's charm and character have always been a significant part of its appeal. The small-town ambiance, scenic landscapes, and the friendly community atmosphere are what make it unique and cherished by its residents. The proposed car wash, however, poses a significant risk to the preservation of this character. One of my primary concerns is the impact on the already busy intersection and street. Cooroy has witnessed an increase in traffic due to the recent opening of a popular brewery nearby and its location between two service stations. On weekends and even some weekdays, the entire street becomes congested with parked cars, and people constantly coming and going. This has led to significant noise pollution, which is particularly disruptive to a residential street like Opal Street. The addition of a car wash in such a busy area is likely to exacerbate these issues. It would not only add to the existing traffic congestion but also contribute to noise pollution, which would further detract from the peace and quiet that residents have come to enjoy. I implore you to consider the potential negative consequences of this development on the Cooroy community and its character. It is essential to protect the unique attributes that make Cooroy an attractive place to live. I respectfully request that you reconsider this proposal and seek alternative locations that would have a lesser impact on the town's character. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I hope that the concerns of Cooroy's residents will be taken into account when making decisions about this development. Sincerely, James Kennedy 11 Opal st
