Attachment G - Fauna and Flora Assessment report
Native Foresters There are no wetlands of significance in the footprint of proposed works, however the tributary of Cooroora Creek and its riparian zone on the northern boundary of the Vipassana Centre allotment is mapped as a wetland of high ecological significance. 3.2 Flora assessment 3.2.1 Vegetation within the proposed clearing area The proposed construction areas and fire management zones of the subject site contain a combination of remnant and regrowth vegetation, including some large, relictual native trees. A total of 40 local native species and eight introduced (weed) species were recorded during the survey within the proposed works areas. No EVNT flora species were recorded. The vegetation within the construction areas and fire management zones has been divided into four sections which are described in more detail below. Appendix E provides specific information on trees which will be impacted by works and trees that are recommended for retention. Appendix G details the potential extent of clearing within each of the identified Fire Management and Construction Zones. Figure 5 shows the Fire Management and Construction Zones and the location of trees to be impacted by works. Vipassana Centre Building Program - Pomona – Fauna and Flora Assessment 19
