APPENDIX C: CERTIFICATION OF SUITABLY QUALIFIED
PERSON FOR FLORA SURVEY
Native Foresters flora surveys are undertaken by competent and trained personnel led by Dave Burrows.

Dave has over 20 years’ experience in conducting botanical surveys, including identification of EVNT
species and extensive knowledge of local ecosystems in the Gympie, Noosa and Sunshine Coast regions.
Dave has a Diploma in Horticulture, and Conservation and Land Management. Examples of botanical
surveys include:

       Flora and Fauna Assessment – Cooney Road, Bli Bli – Nambour Landfill Expansion (2015-2017)
       Flora and Fauna Assessment – Park Road, Noosa Boardwalk (2015)
       Flora and Fauna Assessment – Daintree Estate, Tewantin (2014)

Dave has also authored the following publications:

       “Vegetation of Noosa Shire, edition 2” – 2003, Noosa Shire Council planning scheme study
       Various Bushland Management Plans for Noosa Council conservation Reserves.

Jacob Hazzard (BSc) also undertakes flora surveys as part of the Native Foresters flora survey team.
