Noosa Parks Association (NPA) submission re Development permit - material change of use.  Application number:  MCU 13/0087
 
Thank you for the opportunity to make a submission.
 
Whilst NPA can find several social, moral and ethical reasons as to why this development application (DA) should not proceed, NPA's principal concern regards the proposed material change of use in said DA.  
 
As per the Noosa Planning scheme, the land in question is earmarked for community use.  However, this DA proposes amendment to allow for commercial use.  Such doesn't comply with the planning scheme, being inconsistent with the intended purpose of said site.  Development must adhere to the planning scheme.  In this instance, the developer is suggesting that the planning scheme be ignored.  Such cannot be permitted to happen.
