Dear Mr Wellington,

 

I am very disappointed to hear of the plans to approve a Poultry Farm in the Ridgewood Area.  I have recently spent a weekend at one of the homes in the area for a healing weekend and am also a local.  This pristine environment is not only a part of some resident's livelihood but also their home.  A place they have chosen for it's quiet, unpolluted qualities.  It is why this land is valuable and to suddenly put in a type 2 poultry farm seems criminal.  I moved to the sunshine coast for its beauty, tranquillity and cleanliness…..will industry take over this haven?

 

I would have thought that the shire council would be innovative and up with sustainable farming and how that can work alongside residential area's to maintain the value of the surrounding land?

 

I would request that the type 2 Poultry Farm does not get approved.
