Kris, can you advise on how many days you wish to “stop the current period” for and I will update the Council system. Please note that you can stop the current period for any application up to 130 days total and you can stop and recommence any number of times.

In regard to the specific design issues you raise I will send them on to Council’s external consultant for comment

We request that the clock be stopped until we can formally respond on the second Further Information Request.  If you can please arrange this on your side and send through confirmation.

We also have some concerns with the onerous requirements noted in the Further Information Request.

Advice Required Point 1:
A 1 in 2000yr ARI with design blockage.  As part of our development we are proposing to install Spel Stormsack or similar litter baskets at each inlet to the Stormwater System.  This is to ensure any gross pollutants do not enter the system.  There will also be an ongoing maintenance of the development to keep it clean and tidy.  We would be happy to be conditioned to prove this ongoing to NSC.  Advice from our Civil Engineers and extensive experience with other South East QLD Councils have never come across a requirements for such a flood event (1:2000yr) to be modelled.  We are proposing that Noosa remove the requirement to model in a 1:2000yr flood event.

Model a 1% AEP at year 2100 with severe design blockage.  Once again the request is to model in a flood event 79 years in the future.  This information does not exist and is purely speculative.  The current system is design to convey a 1%AEP out onto the street with intensities modelled from accurate sources.  We are proposing that Noosa remove the requirement to model in a 1%AEP for the year 2100.

We are happy to model with blockage, however the likelihood of the blockage being severe is so minimal we would proposed that the requirement for severe blockage is removed.  Further to the above a weir and secondary outlet will be added to the documentation.

If you would like to discuss further we would be happy to organize a Teams meeting with ourselves, the Civil Engineers and the NSC Stormwater Engineers.

I hope you had an enjoyable break over Christmas and New Years.

I’ve received back the review of the information response for the stormwater and water quality elements from our consultant. There are still some outstanding issues that need to be addressed along with a couple of items regarding the landscaping design.

Please see the attached Further Information Request document. Also note, the information response period ends and the application moves into the decision period on the 27th January 2022. If additional time is needed to prepare a response to the FIR you can stop the clock on the current period at any time by sending in a request to stop the clock specifying how long you wish to stop the clock.

In addition to the FIR items, I don’t believe I’ve received the balance of information from the original information request, Appendix E and F as indicated in the below email.
