Re: Alleged breach Identified for property located at 14 Driftwood Dr
CASTAWAYS BEACH QLD 4567, described as Lot 158 CP 852092 - Property
No. 129903

Council has recently received a complaint with respect to the above-mentioned
property in relation to the construction of an alleged non-standard vehicle crossover
(driveway). An inspection by a Council Officer has confirmed the driveway width
appears to exceed the standard vehicle crossover conditions.

Crossovers that cannot be constructed in accordance with council’s standard
conditions will need to have an Operational Works approval.

Such approval has not been obtained and therefore the construction of the non-
standard vehicle crossover is being undertaken in breach of both Noosa Plan 2020
and the Planning Act 2016.

Please take action to address this matter by submitting a properly made Operational
Works Application (DA Form 1) to Council. Please note that the application will be
assessed on its merits to determine if it will be approved or not.

Please confirm in an email to Council of your actions by close of business Wednesday
31 January 2024 marked to the attention of Jamie Gordon.-If you do not respond to
this request within this timeframe, we will review our options for further compliance
action to remedy the breach.
