MCU12/0184 Concerns about development approval Lisa Stevens
Subject: 1192 dw MCU12/0184 Cooroy Broiler Farm - Top Forestry Road From: Anna Stevens Date: 2013-12-04T05:22:43+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council To whom it may concern It is with disgust that I learn that there is a proposal to bring a broiler farm into the beautiful Cooroy district on Top Forestry Road. I do not have anything positive to say about broiler farms and I find next to nothing of worth on the internet about the same. What are the possible advantages of bringing one of these into this community? Would you or one of your councillors want one of these farms in the same street where they live? I think not. Are any of them living on Top Forestry Road ???? Why would you argue against having one in your street? Guess you have the same arguments as the people who are opposing the farm in Cooroy (if you are being honest). So is it easier to put it into someone else's backyard than your own? On the one hand your government wants people to keep the clean green area and offer grants for people to plant natives and yet you bring something so abhorrent into the same area. It just doesn't make sense. These farms should not be anywhere near human inhabitation/homes. Please do not ruin this beautiful community. Lisa Stevens (family member of community member)
