Dear Melony,
Re: RRP20/0053 - Approved standard vehicle crossover – 11 Mimosa Street,
PEREGIAN BEACH (Lot 434 RP93147)
I refer to your standard vehicle crossover application received by Council on 10 June,
2020.
It is noted that you have ticked ‘YES’ to all of the questions in the checklist which determines
that your application will be Self-assessable.
It is further noted that you have signed the application declaring your acceptance of the
terms and conditions outlined.
On this basis Council approves the construction of a residential type standard crossover
(RS -049 & RS-050) subject to the following:
• Professional advice from a suitably qualified person (engineer, contractor or similar)
must be sought for the construction of the driveway to ensure that the driveway is
constructed generally in accordance with standard drawing (RS -049 & RS-050),
• To grades that prevent vehicles from scraping and/or bottoming whilst also allowing
pedestrians movements along the footpath without any step or level difference, and
• Is suitable for the intended use.
• You are required to ensure that you/ your contractor has the necessary current Public
Liability Insurance for the proposed activities on public land and that all appropriate
MUTCD compliant pedestrian safety requirements are in place prior and during this
activity.
• Removal of the old driveway crossover is required and reinstatement of this location
must be replaced to match the existing kerb and footpath profile with no pedestrian trip
hazards and to Council’s satisfaction.
• You will construct the crossover in accordance with the attached Standard Drawings.
• You are responsible for the full cost of the works and the future maintenance from the
road edge to the property boundary.

• Any changes to the standard crossover will be considered a variation and you will be
required to make a separate Operational Works application.
Please ensure you are familiar with the declarations you have made and the terms and
conditions/ site safety requirements contained in your signed standard vehicle crossover
application since you will be legally liable for any claims resulting from any incidents resulting
during construction or post construction if the works are not completed in accordance with
the standard drawings.
