4.3.8 5 % Ae p Af f lu x ( w it h blo ck ag e)
Afflux is as per the above case. Afflux reported west of Myall Street, North West of the development is
not present in this scenario.
4.3.9 2 % Ae p Af f lu x ( n o b l oc ka ge)
The 2% AEP design event shows an afflux surrounding the intersection of the proposed bridge with
Myall St. The maximum afflux in this area 0.142m. This afflux is due to the road reserve being filled for
the construction of the VXO leading to the proposed bridge. When the water level breaches this point
in the existing case the elevation of the water is lower due to the ground level being lower. This is
causing the afflux map to show an increase in peak elevation.
Outside of the vicinity of the bridge and proposed bioretention basins no afflux is reported.
Figure 14 below shows the afflux that is present in the above scenario.
Figure 14 – 2% AEP afflux extract.
4.3.10 2 % Ae p Af f lu x ( w it h blo ck ag e)
As with the above case afflux is reported in the vicinity of the proposed VXO (maximum of 0.165m) and
overflowing from the proposed bioretention basins. No afflux is reported on neighbouring properties
outside of the above mentioned properties.
Figure 15 below depicts the afflux described above.
