I would like to state my opposition to the development on Serenity Close, Reference Application No. 132008.176.05. One of my major concerns is the traffic congestion this development will cause. Currently, during the holiday period and on some weekends, traffic cannot exit Katharina Street into Noosa Drive due to backed up traffic. Exiting Grant Avenue is also a huge problem during these times and traffic can be backed to the AFL football ground. Not only is this of concern to local residents but I imagine it would would be of major concern to emergency vehicles (eg. fire brigade and ambulance) trying to attend an emergency. Another concern is water supply/pressure both for domestic and emergencies (fires). I would appreciate seeing a report from Unity Water and the Fire Brigade regarding this matter. I also believe, this size development in this area is massively invasive and disruptive, and the damage to our roads caused by heavy construction vehicles would be of concern. It would also be appreciated if a report could be provided by the ambulance service. Of course, there are many other important concerns such as the affects on the environment and natural habitat. Thank you for your consideration. Kind Regards Peter McDonald MacQuarie Lodge 1/2 Serenity Close Noosa Heads 4567
